Terms & Conditions

  1. Membership

1.1. Your membership will begin on the day you join.
1.2. When paying by Direct Debit, an initial payment of £99 will be required to cover the first two months membership, followed by 10 Direct Debit payments commencing one month after the date of joining.

1.3. An email address is required to pay by direct debit. This is a mandatory requirement by the GoCardless Debit Card provider.
1.4. Your membership is personal to you and cannot be transferred it to another person.

  1. Fees

2.1. Depending on your joining date, monthly Direct Debit instalments will be due on either the 1st, 8th, 15th, 21st or 28th of each calendar month or the next available working day.
2.2. We may change the amount of your monthly payments. If we do, we will write to you at the address you have given us 14 days before the changes take place.
2.3. Monthly fees are payable even if you do not use the membership.

2.4. Prior to your final Direct Debit payment, you will be contracted by Fusion Leisure to ask if you wish to continue with your membership.

  1. Cancelling Your Membership

3.1 When you joined the direct debit scheme you signed up for an initial 12-month contract. We understand that you may wish to cancel your membership within this period, however, we would like to point out that you are under a legally binding contract.
3.2 If you wish to cancel your membership payment within this period then you are required to give a minimum of 3 months’ notice. If you cancel your direct debit during this time, you will incur a late payment fee of £15 per month plus the monthly fee due. You are welcome to use the facility during your notice period if your fees are up to date.
3.3 A confirmation letter will be sent when your membership has terminated. Queries on cancelled memberships can only be dealt with when a copy of this letter is provided.

  1. Membership payment rules.

4.1. We may change the admission rules/etiquette at any time. We will post notice of any changes on the notice board at the entrance to the activity/ facility.
4.2. You must use the facility/ equipment in an appropriate manner and give consideration regarding your own health & safety and that of others. Members of Fusion Leisure Club are strongly recommended to take part in a gym induction.

  1. Changing the Agreement.

5.1. We can change the agreement at any time. We will give you 14 days’ notice of this change in writing at the address you have given us.

  1. Facilities

6.1. You are entitled to use all the facilities within the Leisure centre.
6.2. Your membership requires some degree of physical activity, we therefore recommend that you consult with your GP before starting an exercise program.
6.3. The facility may open/close earlier during public holiday periods and during the low season (quieter periods). Notices will be displayed in the reception area in advance notifying customers of any changes. No refunds will be available for these periods.
6.4. We may need to close a facility or part of it for repair/refurbishment on the grounds of health and safety or improving customer service, there may also be breakdowns of equipment/ features that are beyond our control. No refunds will apply in these circumstances
6.5. Your membership does not give you priority over other users or guarantee the availability of facilities.
6.6. Promotions do not apply to existing members.

  1. Membership Cards.

7.1. You must submit your membership card at respective reception points when accessing facilities.
7.2. All members must have their photograph taken for identification purposes.
7.3. If you lose your membership card, we will charge a fee of £5 to replace it.
7.4. Entry is not permitted without a valid membership card

  1. Other terms

8.1 We accept no liability for lost or stolen goods whilst on our premises unless as a direct result of our negligence. Property stored in lockers is at your own risk.
8.2. Property must NOT be stored in the lockers whilst you are away from the facilities. All property must be removed at the end of your Fusion session. All lockers locked at closing time will be opened & the contents stored as lost property for 28 days.
8.3 Members may park in the Fusion car park which is controlled by vehicle number plate recognition. Members will need to register their car details with Fusion staff. Cars parked and their contents in them are your responsibility, and we will not accept any liability for any loss to damage to them.
8.4 Some facilities may be un-supervised at certain times this includes changing areas, gym, sauna & steam room. Emergency alarms are provided, and you are advised to use caution. Children are not permitted in the gym under 16 years and between 16-18 years must be accompanied by an adult.

  1. Termination

9.1 We reserve the right to cancel a membership if these terms & conditions are not adhered to.

  1. Non-payment of monthly fees

10.1 If your direct debit payment isn’t received then your membership will be suspended until full payment of outstanding fees is made. Membership and any membership cards will be disabled. There is a £15 fee for each late payment. You are reminded that upon joining you agreed to a legal contract for 12 months and therefore you will be legally chased for funds for any non-payments and an administration fee.

  1. Membership Freezing

11.1 In exceptional circumstances, e.g., injury or pregnancy, you may be allowed to freeze your membership for an agreed period (up to a maximum of 3 months) with an upfront admin fee of £20. Consideration for freezing will only be based on medical reasons preventing you from using your membership and evidence must be provided. After 3 months your membership will automatically resume.  A request to freeze must be made in writing and include supporting medical evidence.
